This bachelor thesis is dedicated to an analysis of strategic position of Plzensky Prazdroj, a.s. Theoretic body describes the thought sources of strategy view as a process of searching for a match between opportunities, which stem from the micro environment structure, and internal capabilities, which allow the enterprise to use these opportunities; further, it describes techniques used and characteristics evaluated during the analysis. Practical body applies these techniques upon Plzensky Prazdroj and eventually offers a conclusion on its strategic position and possible future directions of development. Thesis is concluded with several general recommendations on strategy formulation based on the preceding analysis.

The aim of this thesis is to present the current CSR concept of the Pilsner Urquell Company and formulate possible recommendations for future improvements and development of the company in this area. The beginning of this thesis is focused on the theoretical background of corporate social responsibility and general information about the Pilsner Urquell Company. The next section is devoted to the current CSR concept of the company. The final parts of the thesis present results of the performed research among the public, conclusions and recommendations for the company.

The subject of this thesis is the financial analysis of the company Plzeňský Prazdroj, a.s. The aim of the thesis is to show complex view on the financial situation of the company using the external data, mainly from the financial statements. The thesis includes theoretical explanation of the financial analysis tools that are applied later in the practical part. It includes the horizontal and vertical analysis, ratio analysis, analysis of working capital and cash flow, bankruptcy prediction models, calculation of economic value added and intercompany comparison.

The bachelor work focuses on strategic analysis of Plzeňský prazdroj Inc. and on analysis of beer market in Czech Republic. Headquarter of Plzeňský prazdroj Inc. is located in Plzen and it is part of major companies on the beer market. Aim of work is to present possibilities of strategic analysis which is the first step of the business valuation based on income analysis. Strategic analysis consists of free parts. The content of the first part is rating of the beer market and forecasting of the whole beer market sales. The content of the second part is comparison of company with other competitors on the beer market. Finally the last part is the forecasting of Plzeňský prazdroj Inc. sales.

In my bachelor thesis I elaborated financial analysis of Plzensky Prazdroj, a.s. and its interpretation. In the teoretical part I explained the procedures and indicators with help of specialized literarure. The practical part is about observation of developmental trends of indicators, explanation of those indicators and ideas for improvement. My goal was evaluate the financial situation of the company between April 1st, 2002 and March 31st, 2008.
